I wanted to share my personal list of top experiences and milestones from the past 12 months that have me going strong into the new year:

Nullify Now! Los Angeles – This event was possibly the most challenging Nullify Now! event of the entire tour.  The stakes were high- we could not allow anything short of our goal in our home city!  What we somehow pulled off was more festival than meeting, with live music, art on display, panoramic views and the hardest hitting Tom Woods speech of the entire tour.  Nearly 500 came to the event, at least 30% of which were young people.  It was a day I’ll never forget.

Fundraising Call Center – For the first time as an organization, we paid for help to raise money.  Nick Hankoff and Rajani Elek came in an made hundreds of calls to ask for financial support.  To our surprise, most of those calls ended with “thank you for calling me”.

TRX: Tenther Radio – I spent the past two years pushing this baby out of the ‘womb’ and it was well worth it to see a very satisfying end result.  TAC now has what I consider to be a very good media product which will help to reach all those who would rather listen than read.  Thanks go out to Jeff Riggenbach, Phil Russo, John Michaels, Lesley Swann, John Bush, Jason Rink, Derek Sheriff, Ben Faulkner & of course Michael Boldin for being part of that genesis.

When Rachel Maddow Attacks – I used to love Rachel Maddow back when she was asking tough questions about the Bush administration.  Once Obama got elected, I saw her lack of integrity as she played cheerleader for the Big Gov Dems.  After having listened to her for years, it was oh so special to see TAC’s homepage used as a graphic on her TV show, during a segment about TAC specifically.  I could care less about the erroneous garbage she was spewing (yeah sure, Calhoun was a champion of nullification…riiiiiight…maybe in BIZARRO world!).  To me, this meant that Goliath was beginning to flinch.

Associates Who Became Friends – My favorite byproduct of the Nullify Now! Tour may have been discovering that the people I’ve been working with are also people I enjoy ‘getting a beer with’.  Eddie Allen, Jason Rink, The McKee gals, John Bush, Stewart Rhodes, Robert Scott Bell, Meri Robbins, Mike Adams, Derek Sheriff, Jack Blood, Mike Rogers, Jim Babka, Mike Maharrey, Dani Rascon, Kevin Gutzman, Nick Hankoff, Heather Fazio, Angela Keaton, Vicky Coletti & the Woods Clan- thanks for that!  The fellowship I shared with you kept the wind in my sails for many a rigorous month.

Mainstream Tenther Talk – This election cycle, the 10th and state sovereignty were topics in almost every GOP debate, any a high percentage of news articles that I saw about the presidential candidates- proving the point I have been working to make for nearly 3 years now, that the Tenther movement truly represents the views of mainstream, everyday Americans.  It’s difficult for me to imagine what 2012 will be like with this kind of progress already behind us!
