A large group of South Carolinian activists will be gathering on Jan. 14 at 10 a.m. to proclaim its disdain for ObamaCare and passionately urge for its nullification in their state legislature.

The event will take place on the steps of the South Carolina Statehouse located at 1100 Gervais St, Columbia, S.C. It is slated for the first day of the new state legislative season, and these grassroots activists plan to make a passionate stand in favor of health care freedom.

Activists are looking at this rally not just as a way to protest ObamaCare, but as a protest against the incestuous system in which government works to enrich wealthy business interests with the taxpayer dime. Activist Jesse Graston of the JBS said in an e-mail promoting the event that “the special interests groups have been sending their highest paid lobbyist to the Statehouse to bribe our Senators into protecting their bottom line.”

“Historically in the SC Senate, they will either listen if you have a large bag of carrots or are holding a large stick. We can’t compete with the special interests bag of carrots, but we can wield a large stick!” he said.

The large stick, of course, refers to the power of the people coming together to stand up for the little guy against Obama’s health care heist.

South Carolina isn’t standing alone in its effort to nullify Obamacare. Legislation has been introduced in Missouri and Georgia as well. Up to ten other states will be considering bills that are in whole or part of the 4 step plan to stop Obamacare in the states. (more details here)

After the rally, activists will talk to state legislators to lobby them to support House Bill 3101, the “South Carolina Freedom of Health Care Protection Act.” Fox News Senior Judicial Analyst Andrew Napolitano said that this bill if passed in South Carolina and replicated in other states would ‘gut ObamaCare because the federal government lacks the resources and the wherewithal’ to inflict this scheme onto the masses without our help.
