For 2015, Virginia House Bill 2144 (HB2144) expands on the state’s current anti-indefinite detention law by setting the stage for ending some state-federal partnerships. (read about the bill here)
STATUS: HB2144 was referred to the Constitutional Law Subcommittee where it must pass before receiving a full vote from the state house.
PLEASE TAKE THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS – It doesn’t matter where you live in the state, please follow all these steps to support HB2144.
1. Call the Constitutional Law Subcommittee Chair, David Albo. Strongly, but respectfully urge him to move this important bill forward to a vote in his committee. A phone call has 10x the impact of an email.
