Alabama HB463 and SB357 would nullify certain FDA rules regarding experimental medicine for terminally ill patients.

STATUS: SB357 passed through the Senate Judiciary Committee on April 16, and now must be approved by the state Senate. HB463 must pass through the House Health Committee before it can receive a vote in the state House. Please take the following steps to support these important bills.

1. Call your state senator. Strongly, but respectfully urge them to support SB357. A phone call has 10x the impact of an email, so make sure to take a few minutes to call.

1. Call the House Health Committee Chair, April Weaver . Strongly, but respectfully urge her to move HB463 forward to a vote in her committee. A phone call has 10x the impact of an email.

2. Call the rest of the committee members. Again, be strong, but respectful. Urge each of them to take action to move the bill forward and vote YES on HB463.
