The shutdown of a Donald Trump rally in Chicago generated a lot of discussion about freedom of speech. I keep hearing people say, “They violated his First Amendment rights.” But the First Amendment doesn’t give anybody any rights.

In this episode of Thoughts from Maharrey Head, I explain the relationship between the First Amendment and freedom of speech. I also discuss the importance of free expression in a free society through the writing of John Stuart Mill.
