The Republicans have come out with their much ballyhooed Obamacare “repeal and replace” plan. Turns out it doesn’t repeal. The replace part looks pretty awful. And of course, it’s just as unconstitutional as the original misnamed Affordable Care Act. In fact, the GOP may have managed to come up with a plan worse than Obamacare. Rep. Justin Amash aptly dubbed the Republican plan Obamacare 2.0.
In this episode of Thoughts from Maharrey Head, I talk about the Republican healthcare plan and offer some state-level alternatives that can do what Congress won’t – effectively get rid of Obamacare and Obamacare 2.0, and replace it with market alternatives that serve patients, not insurance companies and politicians.
