“Where powers are assumed which have not been delegated, a nullification of the act is the rightful remedy.”
Thomas Jefferson told us – nullification isn’t just a good idea. It’s not a suggestion. It’s the way to stop the feds.
James Madison called it a duty.
“The states have a right and are in duty bound to interpose for arresting the progress of the evil, and for maintaining within their respective limits the authorities rights and liberties appertaining to them.”
In other words, it is our obligation to reject unconstitutional acts.
There is no other option.
You can’t vote them away. The courts aren’t going to save you. Your protests will fall on deaf ears.
Ultimately, defending the Constitution requires the people and the states to do their duty!
Rejecting the feds when they overstep their limits goes beyond calling the act unconstitutional and hoping somebody will do something about it. It requires the people of the states to take concrete action to stop the feds in their tracks.
This is the reason the TAC exists.
Like Madison, we recognize that federal overreach is dangerous and, indeed, evil. For nearly two decades, we’ve supported states, localities, and individuals as they seek to do their duty and nullify unconstitutional acts.
But this can only happen with your support.
We depend on people like you who love liberty, share our sense of duty, and understand that it’s up to us to keep the federal government within its constitutional limits.

Defending liberty isn’t easy. Sometimes it requires sacrifice. But as Samual Adams said, “The liberties of our Country, the freedom of our civil Constitution are worth defending at all hazards.”
And he agreed with Madison.
“It is our duty to defend them against all attacks.”
All attacks.
That includes those coming from the federal government itself.
The duty to protect liberty and defend the Constitution falls on our shoulders. If we don’t do our duty, nobody will.
