“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
I’ve come to the personal belief that many people who refer to small steps towards liberty as a bad thing because they “don’t go far enough” are people who rarely – if ever – do anything but post comments complaining online.
Anyone who actually works in the trenches for liberty knows how much work it takes to get even a tiny victory.
Anyone who works on shutting down Obamacare, or the NSA, or gun control – knows the amount of hard work, energy, and patience it takes to get things moving forward.
People who believe that there’s a silver bullet which can shut these things down in one fell swoop only believe so because they’re living in a fantasy world.
Actually doing things for liberty – and not just engaging in online debates – teaches you that such a world doesn’t exist.
If you want to get something done, you have to set your sights on the long haul – and capture every possible victory – no matter how tiny – on the way.”
