December 15th being Bill of Rights Day, this special episode of Tenther Radio focuses on two of the greatest threats to your rights today – the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and the FDA. Joining Michael Boldin as co-host – Robert Scott Bell.

Dr. Nick Gonzalez joins Michael and Robert as guests, and tells his view of how centralized power is always damaging to your basic rights to determine your own health, food and nutritional choices – some of the most basic decisions that could and should be made by an individual. He also shares his understanding of history – how the great tyrannies of modern times gave people centralized control over these important issues – with the result of shorter and shorter life spans. The message? Centralized power is dangerous to your freedom – and your health.

Robert and Michael also discuss the National Defense Authorization Act, which just got a yes vote from the House within an hour before showtime. Supporters of the bill point out that it specifically says that the military cannot indefinitely imprison citizens and legal resident aliens. But that doesn’t mean some other law enforcement agency couldn’t eternally jail citizens and resident aliens. Also, despite what a straight-forward reading of the text would appear to say, that the “requirement to detain a person” does not apply to U.S. Citizens and Lawful Resident Aliens this is just cleverly worded political-speak to deceive the American people. Just because they aren’t “required” doesn’t mean they aren’t allowed. (thanks to C4L and DownsizeDC)

Closing the show, Michael shares the Founders’ perspective on why we have a Bill of Rights – it’s meaning and purpose – and our prospects for liberty.

“In each tyranny if we study them – be it Nazi Germany, or the Soviet Union or China – one of the first things they try and control is food and medicine.”

“All the great tyrannies always had plans to nationalize, socialize and take over medical care. The loss of freedom always begins with the loss of freedom of health care and the food we eat.”
