This week I was quoted in the US News and World Report and the Recorder about California Gov. Jerry Brown signing a anti-surveillance bill into law.
The US News article (HERE) quoted me as saying SB828 is “something we can build on.”
“The final version of the bill sets a pretty high threshold before it actually requires state action,” Maharrey says, “[but] I think we know where the opposition is coming from and we can overcome it [in the next legislative session].”
The Republic (HERE) captured a similar message.
“The journey SB828 took gives us something to build on,” said Michael Maharrey. “We can build on this and overcome the lobbyists in 2015.”
