Alaska SB8 would legalize industrial hemp for production within the state of Alaska, effectively nullifying the federal prohibition on the same. The bill is now in the Senate Resources Committee where it will need to pass through successfully before it can receive a vote in the full state senate.

PLEASE TAKE THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS – It doesn’t matter where you live in the state, please follow all these steps to support this bill.

1. Call the Senate Resources Committee Chair, Cathy Giessel. Strongly, but respectfully urge her to move these important bills forward to a vote in her committee. A phone call has 10x the impact of an email.
