Minnesota SF28 would require the state of Minnesota to prohibit all state and local law enforcement from enforcing or providing material support to the enforcement of “any federal act, law, order, rule or regulation that relates to a personal firearm, firearm accessory or ammunition within the limits of this state.”(more info here) Follow the action steps below to support this important bill.

STATUS: SF28 was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee pending further action. It must pass through this committee successfully before it can receive a full vote from the state senate.

PLEASE TAKE THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS – It doesn’t matter where you live in the state, please follow all these steps to support SF28.

1. Call the Senate Judiciary Committee Chair, Ron Latz. Strongly, but respectfully urge him to move this important bill forward to a vote in his committee. A phone call has 10x the impact of an email.

2. Call the rest of the committee members. Again, be strong, but respectful. Urge each of them to take action to move the bill forward and vote YES on SF28. If you leave a message or get an “undecided” response, let them know you’ll call back in 2-3 days after they have time to review. Make sure to follow-up. If they say YES, be sure to thank them and, if possible, announce their committed YES vote to email and social media contacts. If they say no, politely ask them why.
