Montana HB203 was introduced to stop state-level participation with virtually all federal gun control measures. It was passed in the state house by a 58-42 vote on Feb. 9. It must now pass successfully through the Senate Judiciary Committee before it can receive a full vote in the state senate.

PLEASE TAKE THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS – It doesn’t matter where you live in the state, please follow all these steps to support HB203.

1. Call the Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Scott Sales. Be strong, but respectful. Urge him to support HB203 and move the bill forward in his committee. If he does not commit to a YES vote, ask why.

2. Call the rest of the committee members. Again, be strong, but respectful. Urge each of them to take action to move the bill forward and vote YES on HB203. Again, make sure to contact them with a phone call rather than an email.
