My problem with gay marriage supporters is that they confuse the limitation of the government to deny them something they feel they have a right to do with a mandate to make everyone else agree with their life-style choice. Is is possible for someone to say that they think gay marriage is immoral and still think that the law shouldn't deny them their right to do so?

This is my point about legalization and personal acceptance of someone elses behavior. They are two different things.

Thank you, Chris. The contradictions and inconsistencies out there certainly are plentiful. Basically, the only real difference between the two political parties these days are which liberties will be restricted and which will be promoted, depending on who is in power. People need to realize this. We must be consistent in our support of liberty and the Constitution or we will receive (and deserve) a government which is inconsistent in protecting both.

Great post and I re-posted it on my blog <a href="http://my-thoughts-on-freedom.blogspot.com/" rel="nofollow">http://my-thoughts-on-freedom.blogspot.com/</a>.

I hear these contradictions all the time from people who claim to be pro-liberty. Either you support the Constitution or you don't, it's that simple.
